Transferring you contact list from Global Gold EComms Manager to Suite26

Users of Global Gold's EComms Manager may wish to transfer their contact lists over to Suite26.

You will need to export your data from EComms Manager and make a small change to it before importing into Suite26.   The change you need to make is due to the different way unsubscribed contacts are handled in each system.

Here is a quick step-by-step guide...

  1. Sign in to EComms Manager as normal
  2. Select any mailing list from the drop down list
  3. From the mailing list screen hit the More Options button
  4. Select Backup List option and choose the mailing list you want to export.  This will save it to a CSV on your computer.
  5. Open the CSV file you have just saved in Excel or some other program which will allow you to make changes to it.
  6. In the file there is a column called status which says whether the contact is Active or Disabled.   Replace all the occurences of Active with Off and all the occurences of Disabled with On
  7. Save the file back out as a CSV
  8. Log into Suite26 and click on the Contacts tab then Import Contacts
  9. Select the new CSV file you have just saved and click Continue
  10. Now match up the fields as required.  You must ensure that the Do Not Mail dropdown is matched to the On/Off field in the file
