Disabling the built-in WYSIWYG HTML editor
As standard Suite26 provides a built-in WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor for creating and editing the HTML content of your campaigns. This editor is actually a 3rd party plugin called FCKeditor, one of the leading browser WYSIWYG editors.
The editor is great for users with little or no HTML experience as it allows them to create half decent looking e-mail designs without too much hassle.
However, some users who write their HTML from scratch and have the ability to host any images themselves may prefer to disable the WYSIWYG functionality completely. It's a global preference, so once you turn it off it's off for all campaigns you create and edit for all clients. You are free to turn it back on as and when required.
If you need to turn the editor off just go to the Options tab and then click on Preferences. On that screen you will see a tick box that says 'Disable WYSIWYG editor'. Tick that box and save the changes and the editor will no longer appear (you will just get a normal text box to paste your HTML code into).
